Yankee Stadium Sees History: Aaron Judge Gets Ejected for the First Time

Usually, a trip to Yankee Stadium offers familiar sights and sounds. But on Saturday, during a 5-3 win over the Detroit Tigers, something unexpected happened: Aaron Judge, the Yankees' star slugger, got thrown out of the game. This was a first for Judge. In his entire professional baseball career, which spans a whopping 870 games, he'd never been ejected. This event also marked another milestone – Judge became the first Yankees captain to get the boot since Don Mattingly in 1994. According to Judge, this ejection was a whole new experience for him, even at lower levels of baseball.  So, what caused all this drama? Apparently, Judge didn't agree with a strike three call made by umpire Ryan Blakney in the seventh inning.  While clearly unhappy, Judge didn't yell or turn around to argue.  Instead, he gave Blakney a look and mumbled a few words under his breath as he walked back to the dugout.  That's all it took.
